Treatment Modalities
I employ different treatment modalities depending on the needs of my client. The treatment approaches I most commonly utilize are Evidence Based Practices. These include: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma Focused CBT (TF-CBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Motivational Interviewing (MI) and Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT).
PCIT is a great clinical intervention that not many therapists use in Spokane. I am state-trained in this modality and am excited to make this a bigger part of my private practice. It is a form of behavioral-parent training developed by Dr. Sheila Eyberg for children ages 2–7 and their caregivers. It is an evidence-based treatment approach for young children with emotional and behavioral disorders that places emphasis on improving the quality of the parent-child relationship and changing parent-child interaction patterns.
I am excited to speak with you about any form of treatment I use at any time.
